If you’re planning to travel to Dubai for the winter, then these latest updates will be of interest.
While local airlines Emirates and flydubai continue to operate as normal across the world, there are several international airlines still to return to DXB following the pre-summer disruption.
According to Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths, foreign airlines have struggled to secure insurance allowing them to return to the region.
However, a significant number of airlines have indicated that they intend to return to Dubai as part of their winter travel schedule, while a few others aim to come back even earlier.
According to the latest travel updates, the airlines listed below are expected to resume Dubai flights in 2026.
International airlines returning to DXB in 2026
1) Aegean Airlines
Greek flag carrier Aegean Airlines has issued an update regarding its operations to the region.
The airline resumed flights to Saudi Arabia back in May and intends to resume flights to Dubai from Monday October 19 ahead of the winter travel season.
2) Air Astana
Kazakh airline Air Astana has announced on its official Telegram channel that it will resume flights between Almaty and Astana to Dubai from Thursday October 1.
Its Almaty route will resume from Thursday October 1, with flights gradually increase frequency from four flights per week to 12 flights per week by the end of the month.
And the Astana route will resume on Friday October 2, with flights gradually increasing in frequency throughout the month – starting with three flights before increasing to 10 per week by the end of the month.
3) airBaltic
Latvian airline airBaltic has suspended all of its scheduled flights to and from Dubai up to Saturday October 24, according to booking information on the airline’s website.
airBaltic operates direct flights from the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius and the Latvian capital of Riga to Dubai.
4) Air France
Air France has been providing regular updates regarding its operations in the region, with its latest travel update suggesting that it will resume its Dubai route on Saturday September 19.
The French national carrier does stress that the resumption of operations remains subject to an assessment of the security situation locally, which is rapidly evolving. Any affected travellers will be informed individually on their options.
5) British Airways
All British Airways flights to Dubai International Airport (DXB), Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman are paused until the end of the summer season and are scheduled to resume on Sunday October 25, according to the airline’s latest flight update.
6) Cathay Pacific
Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific has indicated its intention to resume flights to and from Dubai from Tuesday December 1.
Cathay Pacific has said that it is waiving rebooking, rerouting and refund charges for existing bookings to give its customers the flexibility to adjust their journeys.
Those due to travel with Cathay Pacific can rebook their trip to different dates as long as they are on or before March 31 2027.
7) Eurowings
Budget airline Eurowings, part of the wider Lufthansa Group, has indicated that it will resume flights to Dubai from Sunday November 1. Flights will operate daily from Berlin and four times per week from Stuttgart. From November 3, three weekly flights from Cologne/Bonn will also resume.
The airline decided to suspend its flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman back in March.
8) KLM
Dutch airline KLM, which operates out of Amsterdam Schiphol, is issuing regular travel updates related to the ongoing situation in the region.
The airline’s latest advice states that KLM will not resume flights to and from Dubai on Saturday October 24.
9) Lufthansa
German-based airline group Lufthansa is issuing regular updates on the regional travel situation.
Lufthansa will resume flights on Sunday October 25, with five weekly connections from Munich followed by its Frankfurt route on Monday October 26. SWISS and Austrian Airlines will then resume flights from Zurich and Vienna respectively.
Affected passengers can rebook to a later travel date free of charge or, alternatively, receive a full refund of the ticket price. Passengers can find further information on rebooking and refunds on the customer websites of all Lufthansa Group airlines.
10) Philippine Airlines
The national carrier of the Philippines has announced that it will resume flights to Dubai on Friday October 2. Philippine Airlines has said that it is facing increasing risks to critical infrastructure and overall airspace safety.

11) Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines’ latest travel advice indicated that its SQ494 and SQ495 route between Singapore and DXB will resume on Saturday October 24.

12) Wizz Air
Popular budget airline Wizz Air has announced plans to return to the United Arab Emirates later this year.
The Hungarian carrier is set to return to Dubai and Abu Dhabi at the end of October, with eight exciting low-cost options for UAE travellers across Europe to take advantage of.
The airline has brought back eight routes to and from the UAE, with one city served by flights from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
